All roads merge with the superb comfort and performance of the all-new 2024 V-STROM 800.
With the introduction of the 2024 Suzuki V-STROM 800, the V-STROM family of motorcycles grows again to bring even greater comfort, capability, and choice to Adventure touring. The “V” in V-STROM stands for “Versatile” and the V-STROM 800 fits that moniker well.
The excitement from the launch of the dirt-capable Suzuki V-STROM 800DE is still buzzing through the streets and trails, and now its sibling V-STROM 800 is here with a chassis setup to provide superb comfort and performance for sport riding and long-distance touring. Highly capable at highway speeds or when exploring less-traveled routes, it is equally as enjoyable and practical to ride daily around town for fun or commuting.
Like any V-STROM, you can ride nearly any road, propelled by a new-generation 776cc DOHC parallel twin engine that delivers a balance of smooth, controllable power at low engine speeds and can deliver a free-revving rush of high engine speed performance. The 270-degree crankshaft configuration provides power delivery characteristics and an exciting exhaust note like V-Stroms with 90-degree V-twin engines. The patented Suzuki Cross Balancer further contributes to smooth operation and a compact, lightweight engine design.
The rugged steel backbone frame takes advantage of the engine’s compact size, resulting in a chassis that is nimble and steady. The new SHOWA SFF-BP inverted fork smoothly controls front wheel movement, as does the rear shock absorber that employs a remote, hand-operated hydraulic spring preload adjuster so tuning for a passenger or cargo takes just seconds.
The SHOWA suspension is tuned to maximize straight-line and cornering performance. The fork also supports the new, radially mounted NISSIN four-piston brake calipers that grasp a pair of 310mm stainless steel brake rotors. The front calipers and the rear caliper with its 260mm rotor are monitored by a compact ABS** system that features a choice of two mode settings the rider can choose for differing road conditions.
New seven-spoke cast-aluminum wheels are shod with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tire. Dunlop’s new D614F/D614 tubeless ADV tires were engineered exclusively for the V-STROM 800 and feature a new tread pattern and a custom-engineered internal structure for superb pavement operation plus the ability to explore that new unpaved road that just caught your eye.
A full-color, 5-inch TFT LCD multifunction instrument panel provides the rider access and on-the-fly control over the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) suite of advanced electronic control systems that include the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, the Suzuki Traction Control System*, and Suzuki’s Bi-Directional Quick Shift system.
Ride all day in comfort thanks to a wide, vibration-damping tapered handlebar, supportive seat, and rubber-padded footpegs. Tall and wide, the adjustable windscreen sits above a pair of stacked, compact Mono-focus LED headlights that throw out big-time illumination and the styling is unmistakably V-STROM with Suzuki’s iconic Dakar Rally-style beak.
The V-STROM 800 is more than a motorcycle, and it's even more than an Adventure motorcycle, it is really your new Adventure touring partner. Ride it as it is or grab the Suzuki Genuine Accessory catalog to personalize your V-STROM, so it is distinctly yours. Comfort, Capability and Choice – sounds like the beginning of a great riding partnership.
*The Traction Control System is not a substitute for the rider’s throttle control. It cannot prevent loss of traction due to excessive speed when the rider enters a turn and/or applies the brakes. Traction control cannot prevent the front wheel from losing grip.
**Depending on road surface conditions, such as wet, loose, or uneven roads, braking distance for an ABS-equipped vehicle may be longer than for a vehicle not equipped with ABS. ABS cannot prevent wheel skidding caused by braking while cornering. Please drive carefully and do not overly rely on ABS.
